The power plant owner has asserted that since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2020 that the reservation boundaries of the Five Tribes have not been eliminated or diminished, the Wagoner County land where the plant is located is outside the taxing jurisdiction of the county.

I was able to obtain local figures for 2020 and 2021 to show that the state is on track for its highest number of vehicle-related fatalities in nearly a decade.
