Estimated Cherokee Nation budget needs to cover initial costs stemming from the McGirt decision

-- Marshal Service, $16.2 million to cover increased budget for 12 additional marshals and additional detention costs  

-- Court system, $15.6 million to expand and restructure the Cherokee Nation court system. This amount would expand the court from one to up to 10 separate district courts across its 14 county jurisdiction. Provides additional security, juvenile court services and online case access. 

-- Attorney General, $3.5 million to expand staff to prosecute more cases.
